Grandpa Joe
When I first met Msgr. Joe in CRS trip to Madagascar in 2005, I started calling him “Grandpa” because he reminded me of my grand father who was generous and eloquent in his words and deeds. Since then I have a grandpa in US.
He is a retried priest from Peterson, NJ and became an active member of CRS’ Global Fellows. He is so genuine that his preaching speaks to every age group. I have seen him beautifully preaching to children in Madagascar and priests in the United States. His keen sense of understanding of God and others is remarkable in his preaching.
I already have a model for my life after retirement in which Grandpa Joe shows that God’s man never stops exploring and serving. Grandpa Joe has been all over the world and still ready to go wherever people need a priest who carries the gospel and preaches it eloquently.
Grandpa Joe is the twenty-first Christ.
